Our New Home ~ WW

So this is supposed to be a "Wordless Wednesday", but I feel like this picture needs a few words.

When you first look at this photo, you may just see a man standing in front of an unfinished house. I see something totally different. I see a man who has worked extremely hard for years, who selflessly puts his family first. standing in front of a long time dream. I see a man who has worked so hard to provide for his family, a man who never gives up, and a man who only wants the best for us.

This is our first home, not just a house we live in, but a real home. It's perfect for us in every way. This home is where we will continue to make memories with our children, and even our grandchildren. The best part about it is that it's ours, and all because of this man standing in front of it. I am extremely thankful for the hard work and effort my husband gives every single day, and I am also very thankful that he's mine.

Sad day..Wordless Wednesday

One of the hardest days I've had to experience is my son leaving today to go live in North Carolina. No one tells you about this hard stuff when you become a parent.

Meal Plan Monday

Well I started meal plan Monday a couple of months ago, and then the holidays hit. I don't think I had time to follow a full meal plan because it was so crazy! I'm going to try and get back to it starting this week!

Monday ~ Spaghetti with home made sauce and gluten free noodles
Tuesday ~ Potato Soup with home made bread
Wednesday ~ One pot chicken and rice (This is a new recipe that I'm trying this week)
Thursday ~ Navajo fry bread tacos
Friday ~ Roast Chicken i crock pot with Coconut Rice
Saturday and Sunday this week are kind of up in the air. I might make gumbo, but if not I will probably make a big pot of veggie soup.

I hope you have a wonderful week this week!

Happy New Year! 2018

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year! We have been sick for about ten days and we are still recovering. It has hit us hard, and apparently we are still fighting it off. I'm hoping to have my word of the year post up soon, but until we will be taking it easy and trying to recover.

Many blessings!

Magic Stix Washable Markers Review

Ok so we have had the pleasure of being able to do a short review for Magic Stix Washable Markers! If you have read any of my reviews then you will recall how much we love the Kwik Stix by The Pencil Grip, Inc. Their products are always so well made and are always such a wonderful addition to our school!

Today I want to give you a look at their Magic Stix. These aren't just any markers. I know if you have kids that you have walked in and found the markers with the caps left off. Many times they've been left off for a few days and here you are with a dried up marker that has to go straight into the trash. Magic Stix are called magic for a good reason! These markers are GUARANTEED to not dry out for at least 7 days!! That right there is a great reason to buy them.

We did a short test. I didn't have them for the full 7 days before I needed to make this post before Christmas so mine is only 4 days worth. But four days with no lid is still amazing!

As you can see the marker still works and the ink is still very bright! No issues what so ever!!

Ok so what are other features that make these markers stand above the rest?

  • They are odorless. I love this since my son suffers from headaches.
  • They are washable. This is always a plus because of obvious reasons!
  • They are non-toxic! Another plus when you have small children who want to use them!
  • They are available in 12 and 24 pks
I also want to mention that they are bright and bold colors! Here's a little illustration of most of the colors. I hate when you get markers that are so light that you can barely see them. You won't have that problem with these!

I also wanted to mention one final point. I'm a planner girl and I'm always looking for new tools to use in my planner. I like to lightly shade boxes to stand out etc. I tried using these markers to do that and there was no bleeding! That is a huge issue when it comes to markers in planners. You don't want it to bleed through to the next page. Now if you colored it really dark and thick, I'm sure some bleeding would occur, but just a light shading had no effects in my Happy Planner! I will definitely be using them there in addition to our school!

I know everyone is going to be eager to get started back to school after the holidays are over, so why not add something fun to your collection! You can get the 12 pk that we are reviewing or the 24 pk on Amazon! They even have free shipping for all of you Prime customers!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
