Weekly Wrap-Up...Late this week!

Last week was the first day of school for most of the public schools around here in Texas. We took that first Monday to have our annual "NOT" back to school day! We take the day off and try and do some fun activities together!

We had to of course go for our "NOT" back to school sno-cone! We have the best sno cone place here that is open all year long. It's hot in Texas most of the year, so it's definitely appropriate. They each got their sno cone and played a game of Jenga.

After running some more errands for the day, we headed back home and played some board games for awhile. We just love to spend the day out and about, but also having some fun. It had been raining so we didn't get to go to the park like we normally do, but that's ok since they still had a good time.

The rest of the week was pretty normal for us. We did some school, but I have also been letting the kids in the kitchen more, and really trying to add in a lot of life school. I want them to feel comfortable in the kitchen, and as they get older, even plan and cook their own creations! Gav likes to be in the kitchen a little more than Edyn, but she's getting there.

We are having a really great time with Astronomy also! Gav loves to learn about the planets, and he even made a model from one out of balloons! I will have a review coming soon for his Astronomy so be looking for that!

Other than that, we did our main subjects. We are about to really start diving deep into U.S. History, and I'm super excited about that! I love U.S. History and I want to make it fun for them!

I'm hoping that now that school is back in session for most that we can find some fun places to go and see. My goal is to try and add in more field trips, even if it's just out exploring on our own!

We are back at this week with a new Christian fiction novel called, "The Pray-ers" So far it's really good, and I will have a review up for it in a few weeks!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week this week!
